FRESNO, Calif. - With Week one of the 2017 NFL preseason in the books, let's take a look at how the 14 former Bulldogs on NFL training camp rosters fared.
WR Davante Adams (Green Bay Packers): Adams was limited to three series in the 'Dogs preseason opening win over Philadelphia on Thursday making a pair of catches for 26 yards. The Packers travel to Washington D.C. to face the Redskins on Saturday night in week two.
WR Isaiah Burse (Los Angeles Chargers): Burse made two receptions for 14 yards on Sunday evening in the Chargers' first game in Los Angeles falling 48-17 to the Seattle Seahawks at the StubHub Center in Carson. The Chargers host the New Orleans Saints on Sunday evening in week two.
QB Derek Carr (Oakland Raiders): Did not play at Arizona in week one. The Raiders host the Los Angeles Rams in week two on Saturday night at the Oakland Coliseum.
LB Chris Carter (Washington Redskins): The Redskins took on the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium picking up three tackles and was one of six Redskins with a tackle for loss. Washington hosts the Packers on Saturday evening in week two.
DT Tyeler Davison (New Orleans Saints): Did not record any stats against the Cleveland Browns. The Saints travel to the Chargers on Saturday night for their second preseason game.
OT Bryce Harris (New Orleans Saints): Played against the Browns as New Orleans passed for 238 yards and ran for 82 yards in the Saints 20-14 setback at Cleveland. The Saints travel to the Chargers on Saturday night for their second preseason game.
LB Ben Jacobs (Carolina Panthers): Jacobs was one of five Panthers with four tackles in Wednesday's 27-17 win over Houston, the linebacker had one solo stop in the contest. The Panthers travel to the Tennessee Titans for a Saturday afternoon contest on NFL Network in week two.
RB Ryan Mathews (Philadelphia Eagles): Mathews is still recovering from offseason surgery and with a crowded backfield in Philadelphia, he is expected to be released once he is deemed fully healthy.
TE Aaron Peck (Green Bay Packers): Played in the Packers' preseason opener against the Eagles. The Packers travel to Washington D.C. to face the Redskins on Saturday night in week two.
CB Curtis Riley (Tennessee Titans): Riley had a pair of tackles in the Titans' 7-3 loss at the New York Jets on Saturday. The Titans host the Panthers on Saturday afternoon on the NFL Network.
DB Derron Smith (Cincinnati Bengals): Smith had a pair of tackles in the Bengals' 23-12 win over Tampa Bay. Cincinnati hosts Kansas City on Saturday evening for their second exhibition game of the season.
DB Charles Washington (Detroit Lions): Helping the Lions defeat the Indianapolis Colts 24-10 on Sunday, Washington had three tackles, including a pair of solo stops, as Detroit limited the Colts to 178 yards through the air and 96 yards on the ground. The Lions host the Jets on Saturday evening in week two of the preseason.
OL Cody Wichmann (Los Angeles Rams): Wichmann played in the Rams preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys helping Los Angeles to a 13-10 win as the Rams passed for 181 yards and rushed for 105 yards. The Rams travel to Oakland on Saturday night in week two.
OL Kenny Wiggins (Los Angeles Chargers): Wiggins played in the Chargers preseason opener against the Seahawks. Los Angeles hosts Davison, Harris and the New Orleans Saints on Sunday evening at StubHub Center.
CFL Update
A.J. Jefferson (DB) – Saskatchewan Roughriders
Jefferson appeared in two games collecting four tackles for Ottawa this season before being released on July 11 and is currently on the practice squad for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Zach Kline (QB) – Edmonton Eskimos
Kline is a practice squad member for the Edmonton Eskimos.
Kyle Knox (LB) – Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Knox has played in all seven games for the Blue Bombers this season tallying 18 tackles on defense and five stops on special teams and added a 34-yard interception return for a touchdown at the BC Lions on July 21. He had a pair of tackles and a sack in Winnipeg's most recent game on August 12 as the Bombers defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 39-12.
Tristan Okpalaugo (DE) – Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Okpalaugo played in Winnipeg's first two games of the season against Saskatchewan (July 1) and Calgary (July 7) recording seven tackles and a sack before suffering an injury and is on the 6-game injured list.
Kyrie Wilson (LB) - Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Joining Knox and Okpalaugo on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers is Kyrie Wilson who is on the club's practice squad.
Devon Wylie (WR) – Toronto Argonauts
Wylie was recently released by the Toronto Argonauts on August 1 after starting the season on the 6-game injured list.
