Fresno State landed a Georgia prospect this past weekend, as 2-star cornerback Demetrius Murray announced he had committed to the Bulldogs for 2017.

Murray held offers from schools like Citadel, Elon, Georgia State, Mercer, and Oregon State. He is the first prospect from Georgia to commit to Fresno State and is now the third cornerback to commit to the Bulldogs.

So what made Fresno State the place for him?

"Fresno State is a great school and has a great program," he said. "The coaches showed that they wanted me and that I was a priority. Fresno is also No. 1 in graduating their students, which goes a long way for my family. We just felt like it was a great fit for me."

Murray announced his commitment over social media but he informed the coaching staff before hand, as he reached up Coach Ward about his decision.

"I hit up Coach Ward after my head coach told me he talked to him and that they would accept it," Murray said. "I told him I would love to commit and become a Bulldog and he was excited about the news, saying it was great."

Murray was part of a Grayson team that finished the season 13-1 last year and made a run to the State Semi-finals, before falling to Roswell. Grayson is off to a 2-1 start this season.
