Andre Chachere has a top two

Clovis (Calif.) West cornerback Andre Chachere recently received one of the most important pieces of mail he'll ever get.
"I just got an official letter from Fresno State offering me a scholarship," Chachere said. "It came in the mail a few days ago. They offered me in the beginning of the summer, around June, but it's good to know that it's more than just verbal. It means a lot to have it and I think it's an amazing opportunity."

Being from Fresno he's very familiar with the Bulldogs.
"They have a lot tradition," he said. "I followed them a little bit and I know they've had many successful teams."
Right now, San Jose State and Fresno State are his top two schools and he just took a visit to both campuses last week.
"I loved both visits," Chachere said. "I really enjoyed the campus at Fresno State, everything was really nice. I've been there twice now and just because they're so close I'll probably go back a few more times."
Although San Jose is a little bit of a trip from Fresno, he feels at home there as well.
"I felt the same with San Jose State. It's a gorgeous school and I feel very familiar and friendly with the coaches. I've been there about three times and it feels comfortable."
Chachere's comfort will play a big role in his decision as will a few other factors.
"I want to be able to compete for early playing time and I want to feel like I fit into the defense that the school runs."
That decision is coming very soon.
"I'm trying to make my decision before my first high school game which is in three weeks."
After that Chachere plans to shut down the recruiting process. He'll only take an official visit to the school he chooses at the end of August.
