The Fresno State Bulldogs wrapped up day three of spring ball on Friday.
As the team marched on to the field wearing full pads and helmets, the intensity and excitement could be felt throughout Bulldog Stadium.
The early part of practice was devoted to warm ups and stretching and then the team broke off in to individual units to work on drills and plays.
Overall, Tim DeRuyter was pleased with what he saw, but he said that Friday's practice seemed to lack the intensity of the last two practices.
"There were some good and bad things," DeRuyter said. "We weren't as physical where we need to be. We've got to come out tomorrow and hold ourselves to higher standards."
Coach DeRuyter came away really impressed with some of the younger players on the team such as defensive backs Dalen Jones and Jamal Ellis and running back T.J. Thomas.
Though DeRuyter was impressed with the playmaking of the young guns, he said that it was still too early to tell how good the team will be until they start participating in scrimmages and full contact drills.
